Korina Fraiman

Korina began dancing at the age of 6 at the Yad Harif Arst Center in Kibbutz Tzora, Israel while competing nationally in artistic gymnastics. In 2004, she received a scholarship from the Omanut La’am Dance Dance Project. In 2006, she began studying at Tamara Mielnik’s Dance School and studied at the Jerusalem Dance Theater under the artistic direction of Tamara Mielnik. In 2007, she studied in the dance training course at the Bikurei Ha’itim Center under the artistic direction of Ophir Dagan. She worked with the choreographer Dafi Altabeb on a work that took part in Machol 4.

Korina began working in Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s Second Company (KCDC 2) in 2008 and a year later joined the main company where she danced for 6 years in works by artistic director Rami Be’er, as well as in the works of choreographers Itzik Galili, Idan Sharabi and Oz Mulay.

Korina joined the Batsheva Dance Company’s Ensemble from 2014-2017. There she performed the works of artistic director Ohad Naharin and also participated in the works of choreographers Sharon Eyal and Daniel Agami.

From 2016 Korina began working with choreographer Inbal Shachar, and in the same year she joined the improvisation performing group Playground. She created a duet in collaboration with choreographer Gil Kerer, and in 2017, she worked with the choreographer Bosmat Nossan. She also graduated from the Ilan Lev School for Alternative Massage Therapy.

In August 2017, Korina joined Vertigo Dance Company under the artistic direction of Noa Wertheim.

Korina became a certified Gaga teacher in 2016.
