Michal Sayfan

Michal Sayfan is a former dancer in Batsheva Dance Company and Batsheva – The Young Ensemble between 2005-2011, where she performed the works of Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal.

A Gaga teacher since 2006, she teaches Gaga classes and workshops and repertory by Ohad Naharin in Israel and around the world. As an assistant to Ohad Naharin and as a Gaga teacher, she has worked with international companies such as Gothenburg Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Carte Blanche, and Iceland Dance Company. Michal was artistic director of the Gaga Intensive courses in Tel Aviv from 2012-2016, 2018, and 2022.

Michal served as the rehearsal director of Batsheva – The Young Ensemble from 2016 to 2018 and of the “Dance Outside” project at the Suzanne Dellal Centre in 2020.

As an independent dancer, Michal has worked with choreographers Sharon Eyal and Gai Bachar, Noa Zuk and Ohad Fishof, Gili Navot, Talia Beck, and Ella Rothschild.

Michal is a certified therapist using the Ilan Lev method since 2011.  As part of her naturopathic studies at Campus Broshim from 2012-2016, she was certified as a senior reflexologist and clinical herbalist (treating with Western herbs).
